Scientists and science

Ever wondered why, in all movies, the artist is clothed in black or has an outrageous hairdo or sticks out of the crowd quite dramatically by being under dramatic? And has unique tastes in the material world? And seem to not give a damn who thought what of it? But, also did give a damn about what people thought?

I have. I ain’t like this I swear. I’m…just…different. Not…so…bad!

Scientists have studied the ins and outs of creative people (Yes. It seems scientists study everything!) and made a connection with how these creative minds are a bit more prone to anxiety and depression!

The unique perspective on life things gives the creative the gift to take the audience to a new world of beauty, be it dark or fluffy. A new understanding. A new dimension. A new perspective.

Therefore, the mind of a creative is challenging to persuade. Speaking from personal experience. Why persuade?

I see the world. The images travel through my mind. My mind starts to analyze. I analyze what I had analyzed until I have all possibilities of how, what, where and when. I become emotionally connected. I feel. I feel as though I need to do something about the data I collected in my mind.

I write.

They paint.

They photograph.

They make rhythm.

They sketch.

They bake.

It is out there. The feel is out. Coping is better.

My fear of life is necessary to me, as is my illness. They are indistinguishable from me, and their destruction would destroy my art. – Edvard Munch
